For the first time, Australia’s Anthony Warlow and Britain’s most popular soprano, Lesley Garrett, were brought together with the Sydney Symphony and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras, conducted by one of Britain’s leading musical directors Philip Ellis, for a total of five very special performances in Sydney and Melbourne – The Magic of the Music. Featuring songs from Gershwin, Puccini, Mozart, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Benny Anderson and Bjon Ulvaeus this was a truly unique concert event. The Magic of the Music with Lesley Garrett marks his long-awaited return to the concert stage.
‘Anthony Warlow is the dream artist to work with and I am so thrilled to be performing in Sydney and Melbourne with him. He combines such a rare musical gift with a fabulous presence on stage. He is funny, warm and charming.’ Lesley Garrett
‘It is rare to find a fellow performer with such generosity of spirit and talent in abundance who will collaborate so warmly on the concert stage. Lesley Garrett is one such creature.’ Anthony Warlow
